2011 Classification Courses
Eger, Hungary
IPC Powerlifting is a developing and growing Paralympic Sport and is interested to train Classifiers in as many countries as possible. The main purposes are to enable IPC Powerlifting athletes to get accurate classification at grass roots level as well as to enable them to attain best results based on their eligibility.
PC Powerlifting would like to inform its community that a Course for Trainee Classifiers will be organized in Eger, Hungary on 10-12 November 2011 (preceding the Powerlifting Open Euro Cup). You are invited to nominate and support Medical Doctors or Physiotherapists from your NPC to apply for this IPC Powerlifting Classification Trainee Course (below you can see the minimum required qualifications for the participants).
General information about this IPC Powerlifting Course:
• All the applications must be submitted at ipcpowerlifting@paralympic.org and by fax + 49 228 2097 209 no later than 29 September 2011 and have attached a scanned document of the Medical/Physiotherapy qualification Certificate.
• After this deadline all applications will be examined by IPC Powerlifting.
• Only applicants who fulfil the minimum requirements will be eligible to participate in this course.
• The maximum number of available places will be 20 and priority will be given to applicants who fulfil the minimum qualifications and who come from a country without Classifiers in IPC Powerlifting.
• The final list of participants who are eligible to attend the course will be announced by IPC to the NPCs who submitted application no later than the 15 October 2011.
• In case that the course is to be cancelled IPC Powerlifting will announce it no later than a month prior to the course.
• The arrival day will be the 9 November 2011 and departure 13 November 2011.
• The participation cost for this course is 150€/participant and the participants will be invoiced by IPC Powerlifting.
• The travel costs will be covered by the participants.
• The accommodation costs will be covered by the participants directly with the Organizers. Contact information of the organizers will be provided with the final list of participants.

Darwin, Australia
IPC Powerlifting would like to inform its community that a Course for Trainee Classifiers will be organized in Darwin, Australia on 7-9 May 2011 (preceding the 2011 Arafura Games). Medical Doctors or Physiotherapists can be nominated by their National Paralympic Committee and apply for this IPC Powerlifting Classification Trainee Course (below you can see the minimum required qualifications for the participants).
